Doom 3 intro VS. Left 4 Dead intro
Doom 3 is a science fiction, horror type of first person shooter and was released on August 3, 2004. The game style is dark and tries to achieve a certain “scare” factor.
Left 4 Dead is a zombie, action thriller type of first person shooter and was released on November 18, 2008. L4D puts the players into a city full of zombies, where they try to fight their way to safety.
Even though the Doom 3 story plot is a little better, the L4D video does a better job of pulling the player into the action.

Left 4 dead video

Left 4 Dead Review
This past weekend I found Left 4 Dead on sale at Best Buy. The current price is $49 through steam. Well, Best Buy had it for $39, so Best Buy got my money. Ever since L4D was released people have been raving about how great this game is. And now that I actually get to to play it, I can see for myself that L4D rocks.
The game starts off with a cut scene that looks like it came straight out some kind of zombie movie, but this is worse. L4D is more like a nightmare mixed with the scariest zombie movie you have ever seen.
When the player joins an internet game, there are a couple of options. One style of game play is the team against the AI zombies and then there is the players against the zombies that are human players. Out of the swarms of zombies, up to 4 are human players. This adds a whole to level to the classic “zombie” type of game.
